need advice

Hi, anyone know whats wrong with USDM MKIV TT Auto won't move forward in D or reverse in R?

Just a guess - check your transmission fluid level? Do the other gears work (eg. "L", "2", "OD", etc.)?

Hi P ATF is ok & nothing works. the car is in the shop right now & their saying it needs a new ECU. is the transmission connected to the ECU?

Yes, the ecu shifts the mkiv's auto tranny.

Sure ... find another Mkiv TT auto, and swap ecu's...
