Default Twin turbo upgrade

Hey guys I have a 95 twin turbo supra, I was thinking about upgrading to the gt28 twin turbo upgrade and increasing the size of the injectors to 600cc and the wastegate to support the 16-28psi boost. Just wanted to know, by doing this, will I have to change the fuel pump and clutch etc or can the stock ones handle it? Is this upgrade worth doing or is it just better to upgrade to a singleturbo? Thanks

Turbo upgrades is preference really, both can make huge power. and yeah you will need to upgrade your fuel system, they are about 2k for a kit. good luck. the clutch is fine if you treat it good.

  1. Which "GT28 Twin Turbo upgrade". I need to know more - there are too many types of "GT28" turbos to help without more info:
    GT2854R - 471171-9
    GT2859R - 707160-9
    GT2859R - 780371-1
    GT2860R - 707160-5
    GT2860R - 707160-7
    GT2860R - 739548-9
    GT2860RS - 739548-1
    GT2860RS - 739548-5
    GT2871R - 472560-15
    GT2871R - 743347-1
    GT2871R - 743347-3
    GT2871R - 707160-10
    GT2871R - 780371-2
    GT2871R - 743347-2
    GT2871R - 743347-4
    GT2871R - 771847-1
    GT2876R - 705330-1
    GT2876R - 705330-2
  2. The injector size will need to precisely match the max airflow capabilities of the turbo setup. We can determine this by the max horsepower rating of the turbo(s) you choose.
  3. The fuel pump setup will need to match the injector flow rate.
  4. A bigger wastegate allows you to run less boost (not more), with larger turbos.
  5. Again, send me more info on that upgrade you're considering. I need more info to determine whether or not a single turbo would be more cost-effective for you.
  6. What is your horsepower goal? What is your application?

  1. No, turbo upgrades are not "preference". They are specifically chosen to achieve a specific horsepower goal.
  2. He's already got the fuel upgrade covered - how else could he be upgrading the injectors?
  3. Clutch may not be fine, depending on the horsepower level. The oem clutch is only good for about 400rwhp.
Please check your information sources before posting.
