w58 to a r154
okay here is the deal. i have a supra shell that originally had a 2jzgte with a w58 tranny it, so i have the diff that matches that. not positive on the ratio it has tho, think its like a 4.1 or somthing. but anyways i plan to put a newer, lower mileage gte in it but i want to go with the r154 because i have heard time and time again that it can handle a lot more power than the w58. i have heard up to 700rwhp, im assuming the only way it will hold with that much power is probably very conservative driving. anyways i want to know if that set up, 2jzgte with r154, will fit the same as the w58 did. would i have to get new shift linkage? and will the diff that i have still work? anyone ever put a r154 tranny into a mkiv? any help would be greatly appriciated
