Default about to pull the trigger

ok well i found a 93 w/110K miles right hand drive auto tranny. im getting it for 3k$ USD
i am a fairly mechanical person. i figure would be better for me to spend 3k on a jap car than 2.5-3k on a german car i have no idea how to work on. i ran through the car the other night there is a little oil on the rocker cover seems normal. other than that its the only place with oil on the engine. i have to fix the window on the drivers side and it felt kind of bumpy going down the road i am not sure if the suspension has ever been changed or not i have not had the chance to crawl under it yet. i am sure it will be on the list of parts to replace. along with some 8 ball design air intake i think it was stamped HKS it has the big green mushroom looking intake that doesnt bother me to much but what does is that after the air filter there is a opening that seems to be threaded and it is open flowing fresh air into the engine AFTER the filter!!! (this is first thing that must get fixed)...i would prefer to re do it with a K&N set up or get rid of the whole thing and go back to stock set up doesnt bother many any either way.
i test drove it the other day its been sitting for a while and the rotors are a ltad rusty but that will scrub off in a day of driving no worries there. i dont want to sink much cash into this car as i will sell it again before i leave germany. thanks in advance for your help

It is normal. New cam cover gaskets (DOHC=no rockers ) and new cam cover bolt grommets fix this.

Agreed...that's top priority - please post photos and I can advise more specifically.

It's a TT right? If so, why sell it? (Just curious...)

You probably already know this, but a TT would be a better investment for resale... *shrug*

Look on the bright side - now you're not stuck with an n/a and you're free to get a TT.
