Red face

Car starts up fine and runs fine until you step on the gas. Then it starts idling rough and eventually floods itself. Had a journeyman mechanic over to look at it, and he figured it was either on the ignition side, or the fuel delivery side (injectors). We picked away at the ignition side, new coil, new ignitor, new distributor, new plugs all around, but it's still doing it.The car starts and runs, but runs very rich. It'll run ad idle like that forever, but if you step on the gas, it'll stall. What do you guys think the problem could be.

1) Why did you post two new threads to ask the same question?
2) What kind of Mkiv Supra Turbo do you have? Turbo or n/a? Japanese-spec or US-spec?
3) Please list the modifications, mileage, and maintenance records.
4) Did it used to run fine? ...if so, what happened since then?

My first guess knowing nothing at all about your car would be a boost leak, if it's a US-spec Mkiv Supra Turbo. Did your uber journeyman master mega mechanic pressurize the charge-air system? Did he/she do a compression test before he had you spend money on plugs, ignitor, etc.

NB: Please consider posting any help requests in a new thread instead of asking me for help privately. About 99.9+% of the time, private help requests end up covering great information that could be very valuable to other forum members. If you have a good reason for needing the help request to be private, I'll consider it. If not, then why not give everyone else the opportunity to pitch in too, and/or learn from the information? Remember, there's no such thing as a dumb question. We're all here to help within this family of Supra owners.
