Intercooler system choices? Need help to choose.
i have been looking at some intercooler system and there are alot out there. I was wondering in yall can help me with a lil information. i was looking at Godspeed intercooler system. They say it can handle up to 800+hp. and its for a good price. The the great greddy intercooler system. But that system is over 1grand. I also seen other intercooler out there but i don't really trust them to much. Maybe yall have use other brand that are good as well. I looking to hit around 400hp to 500hp right now im on the stock twin. Hit me up with some ideas. Thank you for ur time. :bigthumb::bouncy::gotnos::x::wavey:

http://www.autoboxracing.com/Godspee...-p/ick-026.htm ...to be honest, I don't know a lot about it. I don't know how well it fits, how hard it is to install, or how reliable it is. I've worked with intercoolers from several other companies including GReddy, HKS, and A'PEXi ... and I can tell you the ins and outs of all of them. For 500hp or so, you could stay with the stock intercooler, or consider an HKS S-Type: http://www.hksusa.com/products/?id=727 |
Yup that the godspeed intercooler i was looking at. I looks nice but. u neva know how good it is.

What you think about the intercooler system.

1) It's no thicker than an HKS S-Type. Which means to me that it is not a good spec for 850hp. For 850hp, you need something the same size as an HKS R-Type, or a GReddy 4-row. 2) I've never heard of this brand of intercooler before, so I consider it an off-brand. Many off-brands have no idea how to build things for the Mkiv Supra Turbo, because not many engines can take 35psi of boost. For example, if a company that normally builds intercoolers for v8s running 8psi of boost, and they try to use that same design on an Mkiv Supra Turbo, the intercooler will probably fail. Just my opinion. |
thank you very much. That open up my eyes a lil more. thank you for the information. i'll let u know what i go with. :bouncy:
