I'm looking to purchase a Toyota Supra but need help.

Looking into purchasing a 1994 Toyota Supra Right- Hand Drive 3.0L I-6 RZ twin turbo.

Now my only problem is that the car has an automatic transmission and I really want to through some mods into the vehicle but will having an auto transmission effect anything? I really don't want to pay to put in a manual transmission but I also don't want to have to put in a new transmission from damaging the old one.

My next question is what is maintenance like on this vehicle? Does it require lots and usually how long does the turbo last?

Ill post some pics of the car,

Also I am new here and I look forward to getting lots of help you guys so best of luck to you all.

Thank you for posting the pictures! :) It looks pretty clean. However, that aftermarket BOV may not have been installed in an ideal way - please post some close-ups of that area of the engine and I'll provide you with some suggestions.

The oem auto transmission works fine for either a bone-stock application or for BPU (modest upgrades). If you're planning to put a big single turbo on it (>600rwhp), you'll need to upgrade the transmission.

For a $50,000USD+ GT sportscar, maintenance is very affordable. However, don't expect to pay what you'd pay to maintain a Camry.

If you keep the boost levels at stock and you maintain it properly, the oem twin turbos should last well past 200,000 miles.

I just bought mine, loving every bit of it, worth all the money as long as it's in good shape, I see a lot these days that are pretty beat up. Good luck!

Hi Mark! She is a beauty, very clean ;) Is that a Top Secret V12 Fusion rear spoiler?? Looks like it has an HKS SSQV BOV = nice! Agree with pwpanas - doesn't look like an ideal location for it. Does the BOV sound loud enough though?
