does anyone know the differance between a 5sp manual ECU and a 6 speed ECU, I can understand auto's using the ECU but not manual transmissions.
please advise. |

the ecu's are very very similar...the mapping is a little different though...as teh powerbands are different since the number of gears differs...but teh maps are almost similar...i know for teh auto the powerband works a little within the shifting range..and the manual goes up to redline...basicaly the auto has a lower fuel cut and redline than the manual...same ecu pretty much

cheers! I'm fitting a 6sp to my 5sp manual twin turbo which has a HKS 'piggy back' ECU so all should work together fine.
