Insurance for car
New to this forum. Just bought a '93 in mint condition with low miles. It has aftermarket turbo and lots of other equipment. one of the computers in the car shows it reached a maximum horsepower of 1183HP? I question that? I am not a real car guy. But what I need to know is how do you insure this car when it is worth way more than book value? Do you have to get them appraised? or what do you do?

Posted in the wrong section. If you're not sure your in the right section refer to the description of that section seen in the main directory and/or any stickies at the top of the group. The Questions and Comments section is for issues with the site, not cars.
Thread moved. 'You say '93, I'm going to assume you mean '93.5 and as such a MKIV. If you do indeed have a '93 MKIII let me know and I'll move this from the MKIV section into the MKIII section.

If you want it insured for the value of the car with modifications, most likely you'll have to go to a special insurance company that insures classic and custom cars. They will need to provide you with a custom appraisal and a custom quote for the premiums.
