Please be sure to confirm with him, before you buy your AEM, the exact maximum number of hours of dyno tuning time it will take to get your Mkiv Supra running absolutely perfect in all conditions including cold-starting, hot-starting, good gas mileage for long road trips, low boost on pump gas, high boost on race fuel, etc. etc. Note that (ime) this can take anywhere from eight hours to thirty or more hours. Also note that some tuners charge $100/hr or more PLUS the cost of the dyno itself, which can run an ADDITIONAL $150/hr or more.

Again, good luck with finding the wisp of smoke (I hope it's something easy to correct), and with your planned upgrades.

NB: Please consider posting any help requests in a new thread instead of asking me for help privately. About 99.9+% of the time, private help requests end up covering great information that could be very valuable to other forum members. If you have a good reason for needing the help request to be private, I'll consider it. If not, then why not give everyone else the opportunity to pitch in too, and/or learn from the information? Remember, there's no such thing as a dumb question. We're all here to help within this family of Supra owners.

Smile finally!!!!!!!!

wisp of smoke under boost..... small valve cover leak onto header. stupid, but hard to find.

Well I'm all done and tuned.
Here's what I have...

stock engine
stock cams (adj cam gears, degreed)
AEM ECU
T72 BB turbo
full exh no cats
Dual Supra Pumps
Ross Machine Fuel Rail
850cc injectors
3.5 bar map sensor
GM IAT sensor

18 PSI on pump gas we made 482rwhp, 430tq.
26 PSI on 110oct we made 619 rwhp,560 tq.

We had a lot of trouble setting up the boost controller (HKS EVC IV). We had to use a knob for a controller, because of time constraints. It seems I'm out of turbo. high boost seemed to drop off about 6800-7200, although it seemed to still be making power. Anyway, just wanted to finish up this post as it has been hanging for about 6 months.

BTW, AEM, not so bad to set up. Don't be afraid, it's worth the money and (very little) trouble. Just use a base map for your car and modify it. We had about 6 hours on the Dyno. It looks like I only need a couple minutes of street tuning, as I have a slight lean spot at cruise.

Thanks again for all you help and info
Mike
