I'm building a 1.5JZGTTE and need a little help.
Hello everyone, I'm new to this site and need some help? I'm currently building a 1.5JZGTTE to put in my 1987 targa. If I use the stock pistons that came in the 2JZGTTE motor how much power will they handle. Would it be wise to simply use aftermarket rods and pistons now while everything is apart or will these brand new but stock rods and pistons do the job....On a side note my build goals are a reliable 600-700whp car.
Thanks in advance, adamawayfrommpa2000

So, you're building this engine, but know nothing about it.
There's plenty of info on 2JZ's out there, as well as 1JZ's. 1.5JZ conversion, yep you guessed it. While this is nothing I, personally, know about, I can tell you that it's not hard to find info on it. Search supraforums on this one. Also, it's not a Nissan. Regardless of how many turbos you have, it's simply GTE. good luck. |

Will Johnson is building it.
Will Johnson who did the polishing work Nick Hogan's supra, yes Hulk Hogan's son, who owned High Proformance Porting in Orlando is building my supra. I'm just on here to talk and ask questions because I'm wondering.....He's the brains. lol Also to address the nissan comment let me just laugh first cause I wanted to know if anyone would catch that but I will be upgraded twin turbos.
