Imho it's a waste of time and resources. If you can make 1500+rwhp with a 2jz-gte, why would you pull it out to put in an inherently-unbalanced v8 with only 50% more displacement? Sure, if the Mk4 had been equipped with a gutless v6 like the 1MZ-FE, or a little two-liter 3S-GTE, then maybe a v8 implant would have made sense. I could maybe even see the logic in trying to drop in a supercharged big block Chevy with 632 ci (10.4L) engine to replace the 2jz, since it's almost 350% more displacement...but a puny 4L 1uz that's 30% smaller than a small-block chevy 350???? Pure silliness, imho. I bought my Mk4 in January '94, and I've no plans of selling it. As long as I own it, it'll be equipped with a 2jz-gte. Just mho...

NB: Please consider posting any help requests in a new thread instead of asking me for help privately. About 99.9+% of the time, private help requests end up covering great information that could be very valuable to other forum members. If you have a good reason for needing the help request to be private, I'll consider it. If not, then why not give everyone else the opportunity to pitch in too, and/or learn from the information? Remember, there's no such thing as a dumb question. We're all here to help within this family of Supra owners.
