OD/off light

On my 93 twin t It has a auto tranny. It works good like it allways has. The OD/off light flashes. Has anyone ever heard of this problem? Any advice would be great. The dealership had it for a day and could not clear it. Thanks- Shawn. Note I can not pass an inspection because they see the flashing light.

I dont know what the problem is, but I would take the shift knob off and disable the switch. I got tired of hitting it on accident. Cant help with the code sorry.

the overdrive light flashing means that your ECU has just recorded an error code...
now that means 1 of 3 things...
1) ones of ur fluids is low (ie brake fluid)
2) one of ur sensors has reached the end of its lifespan
3) there is something seriously wrong with ur car...
my advise to you is to check your fluids,
and if thats ok, do a diagnostic check of ur car...
heres a good site that tells u how to do that (b4 you do that though, u might want to check if the japanese spec ECU is the same as the US one)
http://mkiv.supras.org.nz/techo.htm#ENGINE_CODES
anyway, if that doesnt show anything, u should try reseting ur ECU...

Here's more on checking codes in the us-spec mkiv:

Is your 'trac' fuse still installed, or has it been removed?

It still is in place the guy that had the car before me had the TRAC system disabled. But not by pulling the fuse. I am still not sure what he did. No matter how the trac off button is the trac and tracoff light seems to have a mind of its own. My speed does cut out at 155mph or so as far as I can tell. 8Ball.

Just a couple of suggestions: Check under your ecu cover and see if your trac ecu is still there. Also ensure your harness is plugged into both the trac motor and the secondary tps on the throttle body.
