Converting NA to Bostlogic stage 1 turbo. need help
I have 93 supra NA automatic with 150k on it and getting deals on making it a single turbo. I am considering boostlogic turbo kit ($4499 + $1775 installation). what do you guys think should I go with boostlogic turbo kit or not. I am getting it from suprastore.com.
My concern is car is automatic. Is it worth to do that or should I look around somewhere else. my budget is to be done not more than $7k. thanks |

When I say worthwhile, I know you'll produce the power you're looking for. What I can not promise you is whether or not your oem n/a auto tranny will hold up. The guys at Boostlogic can tell you for sure. Also, why don't you buy directly from boostlogic? |

It the same price from there website $4499 but he could spend an extra thousand and get the stage 2 for $5249 |

Its an na-t conversion kit, they would list if you need to have a tranny upgrade if you need to upgrade the trans, but sence its a na-t conversion the original trans should work.

i have the BL stage 1 kit and heres a few things i had to do...for one...expecially with the age of your tranny (mine was 136k miles) you need a upgraded tranny...mine lasted 3 months before it started slipping 2nd gear and another thing is if your looking to go any further than the 280whp you need a new headgasket...it was fun at first but once i realized i couldnt boost more than 9psi without a headgasket i had to upgrade...but those things arent too much...it cost me 1700 for a built BL tranny (got it on a for sale listing) and 230 for the 2mm headgasket and anothern 130ish for head studs and a map-ecu for 400.
so if your going NA-T, you might as well budget for the tranny, headgasket, maf transulator or map-ecu, and head studs to complete the transistion. |
