Default values of the supra

so first i had a toyota mr2, and being the age i was i rushed into it, and didnt have a daily driver and had so many problems with the car, and it was such a pain to work on.

now i drive an 05 wrx sti, and its a wonderful car, but isnt the supra. <3 supras

so im thinking somewhere in the 93-95 tt range

okay so my main questions is, do you think my insurance would be much different on a supra, to the sti? i pay a SHIT load for the subaru. but if i got like a 93-95 supra i could guess due to age it would be about the same. but then again coupe, targa, and bleh bleh insurance forever rapes.

next is how reliable are these cars? im not gonna come on here saying im gonna get the thing and be at 1000 horsepower in months and blah bleh. itll probably stay mostly stock, especially the body!!! i just want to know that if i bought one with like 100k on it, i could put another 50k on the engine before i have to order a jdm.

how easy is working on the supra? i guess my only real experiences were with the mr2, so it probably makes everything else look easy.

and last but not least, are these years going to drop in price when the new ones come out next year? im wondering where the market will go. i dont want to spit out about 25-30k on a car thats gonna lose value. itll be a year or so before i even get into the venture. but i like to learn about ideas i have. and right now my idea is to get a 2jz.

Probably more expensive. It's a twin-turbo, and it's generally regarded as more of a performance 'sportscar' than a subaru.

Probably yes, but it depends how well you continue to maintain it going forward, how hard you drive it, how well it was maintained, and how thoroughly you had it inspected before you purchased it.

Yep, compared to an MR2 it's a piece of cake.

It depends a lot on exactly what 'yota comes out with. Gossip says it won't be nearly as capable as the MK4. If the gossip is accurate, the MK4 will hold its value for a long time - maybe forever (i.e. maybe it'll eventually be a 'classic' collector car, along the same lines as a hemi cuda).

About 99.9+% of the time, private help requests end up covering great information that could be very valuable to other forum members. If you have a good reason for needing the help request to be private, I'll consider it. If not, then why not give everyone else the opportunity to pitch in too, and/or learn from the information? Default insurance

at your age, thats not bad ins.
i have never had an accident in 40yrs of driving, but when they wanted 2000/yr 10 years ago i went to liability only, and saved over 15000 in that time.
