NEED HELP with MK2 85 Supra!!!
 

I have no idea whats wrong with the headlights for my mk2. I just bought an 85 supra, and in order to turn the headlights on(/get the headlight doors to pop up) you have to turn the lights on, turn the motor off, and then open the drivers door. then they'll pop up and turn on.
Can anyone help???
also this is my first supra/2nd car, and its got about 60,000 miles...just bought it 2 weeks ago, havent really driven it too much cuz i wanna make sure its good to go. Is there anything I should do to be safe. I know that i have to change the timing belt and water pump, but is there anything else I should do to keep it strong?

congrats on the purchase, i to just bought another 1991 supra as a 2nd car although its done 130k miles but running sweet. just got the factory manual from the US to sort out my cruise con. and various other electrical problems.

have a look at factorymanuals.com they are in the US and i paid $65 + ($60 shipping) for full tech manual, its magic, covers all, try them they might have one for your year.
