Ok , i have a question for all who could possibly help............
I have a 87 supra non turbo, i have put 2 7mge engines in since i have had the car, i have been checking out prices on engines. i can get a 2jzge from a 93-95 model for the same price as a 7mge. Is there a difference in the wiring from the 2 engines? do i have to do much mods to put it in? can anyone tell me is the engine worth worrying about the conversion? any advice or help would be greatly appreciated. |

well the 7mge comes 200 base horse power, and the 2jz-ge comes 220 base horse power. I believe you will have to modify your trans mount. 2jz-ge engine wiring harness and ecu, and I think there are few other things you have to mess around with as far as wiring goes.

Swapping a 2JZ into a MKIII is no easy task. Not only will u need the motor trans ECU and harness but u will also need to have custom mounts made for the trans and the motor. U will need to have a cuntom drive shaft made and the hood will not close with a 2JZ so u will need to find solution for that. At the end for the day a 1JZ will be your best bet for a swap. No custom parts needed for 89-92 MKIII
