Valve cover gaskets
 

When I changed my vc gaskets I replaced those ridiculus screw bolts with hex head bolts. Now I'm thinking, maybe toyota used those for a reason. Does anyone think the hex heads will cause problems? I can't forsee any.

It was to prevent people from over torque'n it

i've been using hex heads for years , no problems here
