Sorry if this is one of the dumbest post you guys ever read but I just want to know because I'm curious.
First of all, I know that ain't no way in hell can a MKiii beat a freakin 2005 Corvette. But say if the MKiii has a turbo, has been modify, has at least 500 HP and 500 lb of torque. Now will it be able to keep up with a Corvette or will it still get burned? I've chase after a 2004 Corvette before (I know, I'm crazy to mess with them Super cars) and shoot, in like a sec he was going 100 MPH. When I caught up to him, he switch lane and got behind my rare end, probably just to see what kind of car was messing with him or probably he just wanna mess around with me too. |

corevette ? can't you find something faster ?
most corvette's have low horse power 1989 Chevrolet Corvette Wheelbase: 96.2 inches Length: 176.5 inches Engine: 5.7 liter, 245 h.p. V-8 Transmission: 6-speed manual; 4-speed automatic i don't know what year they started given em more HP . but over all vette's are not a challenge

If the supra has 500 horsepower, I'd lean towards the supra. The new corvette is boasting the new LS2 and putting 400 horsepower to the ground naturally aspirated. It might be too much for a stock supra, but a modified supra might be able to beat it.
However, if the 500 horsepower supra were going up against the new z06, I'd lean towards the z06 because of the weight and 505 horsepower. |

A supra could definately take a corvette, but like said earlier you would definately need to do some modifications, and bump up the horse power.

I think the weight of a newer corevette is 3100-3300 depending on options.

if the mk3 is modded yes, it can take a NEW 05 vette. so far as older ones go, easily. my tibby would take out 80s vettes(some 90s).

A highly modified Supra might could beat a '05 Corvette in a straight line (Not by much), but the Vette would be a better car in almost every other way. As far as the '06 Vette Z06 is concerned, a Supra couldn't touch it. And by the way, Corvette drivers are not candy a**es, most of them are probably car freaks just like we are. The Corvette is an extremely awesome car. I wouldn't feel to bad about getting smoked by the new Z06, it would smoke a Ferrari F430!!
