Default engine swap....

I am swaping out my old engine because, well, there is a giant hole in the block, my car is a manual 1989 supra mkiii, and the new engine is coming from an automatic 1990 supra mkiii.

Well, i got my new stage one clutch in the mail today and i went out to prep for putting it on, and something looks different the old engine has the thing the starter hits on it, but its also got another plate attached to that, the new engine doesn't have the plate on it, just the thing the starter hits. so do I have to take off the new one and use the old one?

hmm take id just take the thing off of the old thing and put it on the new thing. might wanna replace the other thing before putting the one thing back in the car thing

you need to be more specific in your questioning.

Hmm, re wording post lol,

Edit:

Sorry about the lack of description, I didn't know anything about cars and engines and stuff when i started this project, moving right along now, I had to use the old fly wheel because the new one was the wrong kind or something like that, and I was going to ask about how to get a bearing out of the spot the transmission connects to but I got that already, i just hung the engine by a hook in the hole and hit it wit ha hammer until it came out lol. So all that is left for me to ask is how important is it that the fly wheel bolts be the same? we broke one taking it out of the first engine and got a replacement from a hard ware store, same thread but weights less and has a different head, also a thread or two shorter.
