Raising Idle

:help:How do i raise the idle on my car

it dies only when idle or nuetral
the bar goes under 0 shouldnt it be halfway to 1?

Idle should be 750-900 rpm. You can adjust it with a little screw thats on your throttle body, under a little black rubber cap. Pull the cap off and use a flatblade and unscrew the little screw a little bit. Make sure your timing is right and your ISC valve is clean also.

I would definitely check your diagnostic codes first and if nothing there then check your timing to ensure it is correct before changing any screws :)

Far outs... that's a few codes

k
12 = Start here MK3 TSRM On-Line
Also make sure your wiring is all good at the ignitor visibly

22 = Water temp signal, the green sensor 2 pin plug, make sure your wiring is good and not broken there

24 and 31 = Sounds like your air flow meter is fubar (f**ked up beyond all recognition) Try another one and see how it goes :)

SuperSpartan 05-24-2008 08:31 PM
