hey there super supra fans how do i know if i hit the fcu????88 7mgte
thank you and please drive threw

you havent hit it yet if you have to ask

the engine cuts out for a fraction of a second . the check engine light comes on for a short time then thats it . you can hit FCO at very low speeds or very high speeds it all depends on your set up . outside temp and humidity have a great effect . along with the position of the sun and the moon .. j/k about the moon and sun
in general it's around 10 lbs of boost . i use a gauge installed in the intake manifold (upper) in addition to the stock gauge

Now will having your computer modified for performance, will that get rid of the FCO, if not, besides a defender, do you know of any other way to get rid of it?

ddmcse 07-05-2005 01:31 PM

yes you can kill fco by modding the ECU

i hit the fuel cut by accident once. its not good to leave your car unattended around b@stard friends. they switched the vaccum lines on my manual controller.

suprra_girl 07-13-2005 12:45 PM

fuel cut is extremely violent and you will know when you hit it

it varies on your mods
generally stockish is about 12psi before you hit it

i hit mine at 9psi but thats due to the vastly increased flow than stock.... which won't be there long as i'm getting lots and lots of toys heh

i don't recommend getting a fuel cut defender... if you do... buy it.. install it... drive it (yes that means DRIVE not boost) to your dyno shop and make sure that the boost you turn it up to has enough fuel supply... once you have that done DO NOT alter your boost controller.... unless you would like to spend thousands in repairs
