As I've told you I want to complete the deal using a third party escrow service cause in every deal we must build trust, and I think that an escrow service will help us both,guaranteeing that you will receive the car and I will have a buyer for it.

I am a Square Trade member and I want to make the deal thru them cause I have a $20,000 insurance policy with them.They will act like a THIRD PARTY and we will be both 100% protected.The money will be HELD by them into their escrow account and I will give you a few days to test the car and to see that nothing is wrong with it.I made few deals in this way and it worked very well.

This is how it works :
1.The Seller will open the transaction --> 2.The buyer has to make the payment to Square Trade Financial Department and they will deposit the money into their escrow account --> 3.The Seller will receive the confirmation that the payment is done --> 4.The seller will ship the item to the buyer and he has 3 days to test check it -->5.The buyer will contact Square Trade to tell them if he is satisfied or not --> 6.Square Trade will release the money to the seller(in case the buyer is satisfied) and to the buyer(in case that he is not satisfied).

Talk to square trade and see how this truely works. Some of these places don't know that this type of thing is happening, and would probably help you in stopping it as they don't want to be the hapless middleman in a con-artist's plan.

here is a PERFECT example of one of those scams. I emailed this guy over and over... neither he or the ESCROW company would give me a VIN. when I demanded it, they stopped responding...

I knew about a scam just like that about a MKIV Supra and she was selling it for around that price...she said she was from Illinois but just moved back to Italy and wanted to sell it because of the emissions and stuff like that...the whole money issue through Western Union was just twisted too...she wanted me to put it in my grandmother's name or something like that.

i nearly got scammed but found out at the last min.i read what u had put and luckly it was before the cheque turned up.the only difference was im the seller n not the buyer.anyway................its still for sale if any1 is intrested.email me at richard.sheldrick@ntlworld.com for details.thanks again.

the scam i had was i had the car up for sale for 7500.he wanted to send over a 10k check n me pay the change in weston u witch was strange.i told him about a scam id heard about n i havnt heard from him since.just wanted to say thanks.if i havnt of found this foum then i would of never known.i dont no what makes ppl do it but im glad i found out when i did

Heh, here's another one. Are EU emisions actually tougher than US? What do you think it'd cost to ship a car from... I'd assume quite a bit. Getting something ship to Alaska costs quite a bit. And that doesn't weigh 3,000 lbs.

I know that you have many choices on eBay and I appreciate that you contacted me.Although I am registered in the US, but I recently moved in Hungary (where my family is from) and the car is being shipped from here.
The car is in a perfect cosmetic and engine conditions, and meticulously maintained. No damage, no scratches or dents, no hidden defects, the engine doesn't smoke, runs and sounds awesome, the engine has never been repaired or something like that, never been into accidents and it is as advertised.The car is registered in United States and it has clear title.You will get from me the keys the title and all documents to register the car in US, and also a bill of sale in your name and signed by me.
I bought this car from US but when i tried to register it here in Hungary they said that i can't register it because is a US vehicle and we have to do serious engine modifications in order to comply with the EU emission standards. As I have said before, it is an US model (which complies with the US emission standards) and Europe regulations are different from these ones.I want to sell it in US because the car is still registered there.I made the auction for US because nobody wants to buy it and so instead of keeping it in garage I decided to sell it to someone back in the US.

I just recently purchased a 1993 NA car after looking for the perfect car for nearly 8 months! Don't be fooled by people posting cars for sale at asking prices of 7500.00 or even less! Clean/straight supras sell for a minimum of 15000.00 on up to 100000.00 +++ Just because some liar says that he needs money "really fast" and decides to sell his 30000.00 supra for 7800.00 with shipping included doesn't mean you need to fire off the money to him and wait for it to arrive on your driveway. I read on this post that you never see this scam happening with a 2002 Dodge Caravan and for good reason. The MK IV supra is a timeless car. It's design, form and performance still haven't been matched by anything on the market for less than 75,000.00 and probably won't for some time. Don't lose your mind and think that you are going to steal one from some un-suspecting person that needs the cash to bail his buddy out of jail! Think about the transaction, ask questions, inspect the vehicle, ask for pictures, and when you get all of that information, think about it some more. I don't mean to ramble on but jeez!!! That's all I've got to say about this topic and would appreciate any feedback about my first ever post here on the forums.
