Ok, i know a decent amount about supra's but i still have not figured out if there is an actual difference if the ect is on or off, it seems like its slighty quicker on the acceleration but i cant tell for sure, can someone plz tell me what the stupid button actually does? thx

leave it off... from stand still take off..put pedel to floor and watch were tach shifts at...
turn on... repeat step 1... :} |

so basically all it does is hold it in gear longer?

far as i can tell... with it off it shifts lot quicker and smoother ... i leave it ON :} mine shifts around 5700.... with it on... forgot what it does with it off... somthing like 5000 i think

wow thats weird, mine shifts around anywhere from6500 to 7000, which the rev limiter stops at like 7100 rpms, why do you think there different?

I noticed the same thing with mine, it's the transmission starting to fubar

Yes, if you are throttling in D and it does not change before 5500rpm it is starting to wear.
and your rev limiter on your 7mgte/7mge will be at a max of 6750 on the 6M crank which revs higher than the 7M crank unless of course you have an aftermarket ecu to which you have adjustable rpm limiter.
