Default I need some insight

I recently picked up a 93 MkIII 1G-GTE TT, Auto Trans, it only has 68000 K on it and I need to find parts for it here in Japan but im having troubles. Can anyone tell me if the brakes changed at all within the years of the MKIII and differnt engine models. Also if the stock brakes are semi metallic? it has 4 wheel disc and im looking for pads and rotors and i just need to know where to start so I know im gonna have the right parts and not have to return them, if your wondering why i just dont find a local store its because the stuff is not cheap by any means in Okinawa. I also need to know if that car actually did go into 93' before the production of the MKIV. I didnt think it did but thats what all of the previouse owners paper work says. Also for some reason when i reach about 120K the engine light comes on and stays on until i let off the gas, so It can't be a code since it turns right off. Anyways if anyone could just give me some words of advice and maybe some things to look into it would be appreciated

That is not true. Check it for codes. Just because the light goes off doesn't mean there isn't a code. And, parts from a '92 TT should match up just fine. Toyota didn't re-tool for a short product run just before making a model change. And, yes, stock brakes are semi-metallics.
