Hey y'all, I have been looking into getting a supra for a while, o.k. a long time.... still looking though. I have been a toyota freak for a long time. I have a 85 4runner, yep that is right solid axels, built 22re- looking into a 7mgte swap, 7" total lift, 33" tires, 13"'s of axel travel. I also have a 01 tacoma, 2.7L. which only has a shift kit between 2nd and 3rd, then ported polished heads, also custom air intake....o.k. redneck rigged vise custom. Also on the domestic scene I have a 71 chevy c20 custom camper 454 big block, 12k just in motor mods, so its not the best every day driver. 4.11 rear gears, coils all around, chrysler new yorker electric seats, only one spot of rust, rest of truck is rust free.
I have yet to drive a supra. How do they handle, and also how is the ride? like a freakin cloud or a little on the stiff side? I am sure though it seems like a cloud compared to my 4runner though. I used to have a 87 vette, and have just been killing for another fast car. |

Well lets put it this way....as far a i know after the Supra came out toyota coined the phrase "A Joy to drive"....But as for mine 87 Turbo 5spd.....completely stock except HKS Metal Heads and ARP head bolts....that puppy handles on rails.....turns on a dime and 0-60 pretty quick(exact time im not sure) as well it sounds like you like to do a few mods.....a supra would be the way to go great to mod and fun to drive...i've driven lots of cars (Vettes, MKIII and MKIV, firebirds(ack), Camaros, Stangs, and even a porsche 911 turbo) the only one i would say that was more fun to drive was 911......everything else just felt so Over done and boring....
