Default power steering

are all supras fitted with power steering or is it an option? i have a 1987 non turbo and the steering feels heavy...
any help appreciated

all came with power steering. stiffness will be pump or rack problem.

ahhhh right, cheers for that mate, does that include the supras in england? how big a job is it to get it working again? the car has been standing for about a year so i dont think that has helped lol

well is the fluid clean? have you checked the pump or belts? should really read the bible.. the tsrm and then go from there.

cheers for help guys, im a novice when it comes to supras but i love to learn...i will hopefully pop over my garage tomorrow to look at fluid... should the p/s fluid be red in colour? can i drain it to top it up?

RED. Use Dex 3 tranny fluid. Use a turkey bayster with a 6" piece of fuel hose stuck on the end, suck out the old oil, then add the new. Drive it for an hour, then do it again. One more time, and you will have flushed out nearly all of the old oil.

If the noise is or stiffness is still there, you will need the opinion of a professional.
