1987 Supra, Help appreciated

Hiya all, Travis here. New to the forums and the supra world.

All dads try to pick out their kids first car, And this didn't turn out how my father had originally planned.

The 1987 supra Sitting in the yard caught fire when oil leaked onto the catalytic converter during the drive back home. We bought a restored 89' engine and dropped it in, but with the emissions standards and everything going on then, we're worried about the idea of Some sensors or connections just not being there, or not in the proper places. I know a bit of what my dad has taught me from working on the corvette we have in the garage, but the layout and style of imported cars leave me a bit perplexed.

Perhaps does anyone out there have some information whether the 89' might or might not work in the 87?

Or maybe a shop that would be interested in wiring up the engine for us?

Located in Houston, Tx.

All responses welcome :)
