Supra 'box.
Hello all,
I am a newbie, and the only connection that I have to this Forum is the fact that I have a Toyota Supra 5-speed gearbox fitted into an older vehicle of mine. As these Supras were not 'legally' imported into Australia (ie, by Toyota, that is) they can give me no info on the 'box at all. All I really need to know is the answer to a couple of questions. Firstly, what grade of oil do I use, and what is the oil capacity....or do I just fill it up to level with the filler plug hole? Secondly, as I have a major oil leak at the output shaft seal, how difficult is it to locate and replace this seal? Are they the same as the Celica ones that should be available in this country? All I can tell you about the 'box is that it has a cast iron housing.... Not much to go on, I know, but maybe someone can assist. Many thanks, Anubis |
