Looking to get into a Supra..
I've been a BMW owner since 07. I have had a 335i sedan and im currently in a 335i coupe and im happy with the BiTurbo Charged I6, I have modded my 335i moderately; ecu tune and intake but any further tunes; turbo upgrade are not released and will probably kill my pockets. Basically Im looking to get into a Supra TT MKIV model only, hoping it will cost less money to buy and mod. I have spent 5000 on rims 1000 in ecu tunes, 400 on intake, 1000 on exterior mod and 500 on interior mods. The car cost 750 a month and I put 5000 down. The cost is becoming ridicules for only 380whp and im looking to get out after the lease is up. This car is strictly a weekend driver.
The MKIV has been a favorite of mine since i was a little one. I am also interested my the crazy WHP cars i see around the internet. My question is how much am i looking at to buy a MKIV and modify it with the standard mods; FMIC, bigger TTs, Larger DPs ect.? |

what year are you looking for? 1993.5-1998. i have seen a few in california with about 100k miles on them for about 18k. they go for all the money because of how rare they are. which also makes the parts more expensive because they dont produce very many. be carefull when you buy tho. i have seen a lot of the supras that have been modified by wanna be machanics and you dont know what they have done. your best bet would be to find one that is completely bone stock. hope this helps at all

Welcome, and i promote your interest in going to a Supra. I just purchased mine a few months ago, a 97 Supra TT with less than 60,000 miles on it. I payed just under $30K for it. That is almost stock though. I prefer stock for several reasons; you can do your own mods, and you know that someone didnt just ghetto rig stuff. Mods for a Supra will defiantly be cheaper then mods on a BMW. For a good FMIC you would be looking at between $1500 and $2000 depending on brand, and for turbo's; it depends on a lot of factors. If you want single or twin (sounds like that is what you want) prices can vary greatly especially if you want to upgrade to bigger TT. You will just have to look around the net. Hopefully others on here can help you out more on prices, and you can check out this website for some good upgrade parts. Good luck.

Yea i would like to get my hands on a boe stock car. I want to have my mods done one by one to document power increase. I am not really sure what the differences are from 1993.5-98 so unless there are huge differences i would say it doesnt matter much.

I am still learning new things about the Supra everyday, so to my knowledge from 93.5-98 the changes were very minimal. From what i have learned the only changes were minor changes to the drive train. Any help from anyone else would be great. I can say that any MKIV TT is a great buy and you will not be disappointed.

I can't comment on MVP's prices on MKIV stuff... Green and I own MKIIIs.
I've always had good luck with horsepowerfreaks.com.
