Hydraulic Fan Fuse?
Could anybody tell me where my hydraulic fan fuse would be?
i converted my water pump and am now wiring my electric fan. but i was told i need to replace the fan fuse with a 30 amp fuse. but i cannot find my fan fuse.:wavey: |
The stock fan is mechanical and runs off a belt, not electric, so no fuse for it.
For that matter, what kind of water pump "conversion" did you do? Just curious... |
I converted the 1jz pump. to a 2jz pump. then i installed a mizu dual electric fan. i connected the electric fan to the wire that were coming from the old waterpump.
|
Could the wire have been coming from a water temp sensor mounted on the thermostat housing rather than the pump itself? I don't have much experience with the 1J or 2J, but that makes more sense to me than a wire coming from the water pump.
|
I dont know, it was just coming from the water pump.
but the fans dont seem to be running very fast. how should i wire this thing? |
I'm gonna have to defer that to someone who knows the J-series engines better than I do. Most of what I know is the 7M, and from what you've described that definately doesn't apply here.
