I have the head off of my 86.5 supra. While examining the head I found erosion in the surface just behind the #6 combustion chamber. At first I thought that it was a clogged water port, but on cleaning it appears to be metal that has been eroded. I though that it was a water port because it's above a water port in the block and the head gasket has a water port in the same location.
Is this a feature of the supra block and head that they do not have matching water ports behind #6? Is the head supposed to have a water port in that location? Has anyone else experienced this and found a good solution? Thanks. |
