nicely done supra...
...on a budget?
I have just purchased a 1990 Supra, low k/m great overall, no engine probs, stock everything. The previous owner had bought it and stored it, so no modds what so ever. My question to you supra gurus is this: I would like to increase the engine speed, I dont want to go overboard, but I want the car to be faster then it is now with stock everything. What in your own opinions should I mod or replace or add to the car to do this? Im not looking to spend $10,000 under the hood... ...and I like the basic body as it is. I want power before beauty. Thanks in advance. Caithness |
in my opinion... the first thing i would do is replace your head gasket
if it's still sealing well at the moment you should be able to get away with ripping the head off, new toyota hg, new head bolts torqued to 72ft lbs and slap her all together then at least you know you are set for power (i was gonna say boost but you don't mention if you are turbo or not hehe) then start with Intake, exhaust let us know if ur turbo or na.. that'll tell you the next things you can do ;) |
make power how hollywood makes power...put some f&f decals...and a big wing for all that downforce...dont forget to paint it some crazy crackhead color...and most important...nos...cant forget that...itll probably get you around 800hp? i dunno someone might have to correct me on that...by the way...i would go with suprra_girl's advice rather than mine hahaha
