to cut to the chase, all my friends and about everyone elce around here have thoes riced up honda civics and i want a car that will beat them in both drag racing and circut racing. we do have a track here thats open to the pulbic. so biscally, is the supra up to it? thanks!

there are quite a few vtec's here which are pretty damned quick but they are few and far between... well in NZ anyway lol

if you do the good basics like exhaust, intake, filter, boost controller etc you should have a fairly quick one
make sure you do the usual checks on buying a supra turbo as a head gasket failure is common due to the lack of torque from the factory on the head
just make sure when you start it if it's cold that it doesn't have a waterfall in the dash.. it doesn't have a consistent idle miss.. white smoke out of the exhaust when warm and make sure oil & water hasn't mixed and a compression check if you can be that cheeky with the seller hehe

but hell yea a supra will take on a civic :)

my best et on the 1/4 is 13.6 with 10psi.. exhaust, filter, bigger intercooler and 2 1/2 plumbing... so not really alot done and a good amount of power

hmm the supra will own the civic in a straight line unless like supra girl said they have put $10,000 under the hood anyways just watch yourself on a track a supra is not exactly a "circuit" car it is straight line so it may come down to the better driver

supra is definetly all around. its got power and acceleration. rite wen u get off a turn the supra rockets off. literrally.
