new to form and had a few questions
Hello every one, i am in the process of purchasing a '95 supra. the car has 137k miles and is an non-turbo 5spd. i would like to turbo it but the high miles are sketchy. i know the motors are strong but i'm not trying to f anything up since it has high miles. Would it be easier to do a 6sp TT swap and not have to worry about the miles, or just put a TT or a single turbo on it. certainly just the turbo would be cheaper and i am a student so i am thinking about just getting a turbo kit instead of a motor swap since it is already manual, but i'm not trying to rebuild a blown motor if there is somthing to save it now.
the car is silver and has the veil side body kit. eventually i would like to paint it RSP since that color is sooo sweet. i was just wondering if anyone has any sugestions on what to do to save money. thanks. |

both paths will get u a significant amount of power, the price will almost end up the same since...if making big power you must beef up the internals with some low comp pistons and internals, the turbo motor is alrdy prepped to handle large amounts of boost, and the na has a higher compression, i would personally go with teh 6spd tt swap...but then again if you are on a tight budget i would stick with what you have and get a single turbo kit, but at the moment run low boost...probably around 8-9psi until u can upgrade the internals and then in that case you can go crazy and up the boost
