Boost Trouble...
I just picked up an 1989 supra turbo. Just curious if anyone knows what could be the problem with mine. At idle the boost gauge shows nothing. When you get on it it comes up, and you hear the turbo spool up but it makes no power. My friend had the same car that made tons more power. Mine just isnt making any. If anyone has some ideas to throw at me, let me know... thanks

you probably have a boost leak somewhere, check everything from the turbo all the way back, make sure all your connections are tight and there are no holes

No boost ?
On the more complex side it could be broken turbo sharft, or foren object has hit turbo blades and killed the commpressor fins, and Leeks in hoseing you will here hi pitch hissing there, timing is another or cam jumped a tooth, hole in piston, could be a number of things, blocked air filter, just do the simple cheep or free eazy things 1st, to elimanate each posabillaty.
And how much boost are you getting , is it constant or up and down ?
