mkiv transmission noise?
Is it normal for the mkIV transmission to be loud?

manual. just noisier when clutch is not step on.

well I heard that trans noise on sticks ( supras) is normal like in the 6speed
case.. but if you go to the mkiv.com problem section it will tell you about transmission noise... http://www.mkiv.com/faq/faqtt.html#transmission3 can anyone give him some more info?"

Thrust bearing , happens when you take your foot off the cluch and quietens when clutch is pressed, sounds like a thrust bearing to me, and try ATF 50/50 mix with gearbox oil, that helps too.

My second gear grinds when shifting in normally. I would have to shift very slow for it not to grind. Will it cost a lot to fix?
