in the pik my finger tip is on the mechanism, it can be pushed twords the drivers headlight from my finger position. (the base of the red arrow is the tip of the cable and lever..)

or there is also an access hole directly under my fingertip in the metal cover plate ( the yellow circle.) that will allow a small screwdriver to access the lever.. but since its now a leverage thing the base (handle) of the screwdriver needs to forced to the passenger side.. i can move it with my finger so the spring is not that strong...just so you know not to over due it..

Default RE: Hood

Thanks to everyone who responded, I've checked the pics, snaked a drop light into the comparment, took off grilles and turnsignals but still can't get this bi*ch open (the 15o weather here in Jersey ain't makin it easier. I made an appointment at body shop I know. When (if) he gets it open I am going to study it with a friggin microscope so this will never happen again. Also, I am going to study gas cap door cable in case something happens to that. I would suggest to all you supra owners to look into these things, as these cars run real well, but they are old and some things just don't last for ever, so you have to expect things to go now and then. Again, thank you everyone, especially Joel who sent close-up pics, I will pass them on to mechanic.

all i can add is that you need to go into it from the side in between the IC and the radiator cavity..the latch is at the top..

OK...but you must give Boromire credit for that line, hiking in the snow, when he picks up the ring after frodo dropped, from "Fellowship of the Ring".

Also...I was thinking that I will go look at my cables to have a plan if it happens to me.
