Busting my but with hood, but have idea.
Thank you to everyone who responded to my busted hood cable problem. I took off the little plastic radiator grill and can now see the latch, although it is still hard to get to, I will need a long screw driver. The thing is, I never really looked over this part very carefully and don't know exactly how it operates. Once I get in there with a screw driver I won't know what to push or pull to release the main lock which will allow the hood to come up and I can then use the lift lever. Can someone out there send me a close-up pic of the latch mechanism? Maybe even see how it operates and let me know. This would be most welcome and a lot of help. I swear man, only me, only me. I've pulled enough hair out already over this, I'm too young to be bald!
Thanks Folks, Sincerely, James in NJ |
