I was wondering if anyone might know why I have low oil pressure (yes I have enough oil in my car)? When the engine is cold and idling the oil gage reads about 40-50, but after it warms up it drops down to about 5. Then when i am driving it only goes up to 30 if I'm lucky. I was thinking that my pump was going out on me, but I was hoping it might be something less expensive to replace. By the way i have a 87 supra turbo all stock, which I just bought at an auction a week ago.

Sounds about right to me. It will vary a little depending on what wieght of oil you run. This will help you sleep better http://www.cygnusx1.net/supra/librar.../lu/LU_04.html Scroll down to #6

the right size oil filter makes a difference .. too large = lower pressure
crap oil makes a difference .. cheap crap = lower pressure
