Hey wuz up guyz. I just got this 89 supra turbo bout 2 months ago, my cousin had one also so i have experience with this car. well i got mines with supposbly new head gasket and all new hoses well i got it boostin 9 psi so i shimmed the wastegate and boost it up to 15 psi was runnin fine for like a month after that started smokin little by little then a little more (lol) well the started overheatin and shit guess wut BLOWN GASKET yay! lotz of fuckin smoke water would dissapear so i was like ok this is it so i have it all apart waitin for a 1.2 mm metal gasket to put it on and see wuts up.. the timin its the only thing on there im scared to take it off its marked allready but i dont know if i should get them together or wut need help on that plz and thnx guyz if ya need help with anythin let me know....peace ...BaByBlueMk3owner...

hey welcome to the forum
well if you are going to put a metal head gasket on make sure that you get your machine shop to do a mirror finish on your head and block in preparation for the mhg, also it's best to have arp head studs as well or at least brand new head bolts from toyota... i would rather suggest arp's tho timing on the 7m is real easy which part are you not sure of? the belt or the cam position sensor?
