well i just got back from test driving a supra turbo, and i wanted everyones
opinion on if i should get it or not. the body is strate but the clear cote is coming off . it has 121k miles on it. the turbo seams to be good. there is an oil leak on the front trubo side of the ingen (not the turbo). the seats are trash they need to be reapolsterd. the trany seams to be just a lil loose but ok. he wants $1500 for it what do you think? edit: yes i know my spelling is bad im sorry |

one more thing i forgot to say
i got on the boost 3 times when i drove it the first 2 times it stalled but the 3rd it did not the car has ben sitting for a long time! and it still started right up witch is good and about offering 1000 i dont think hell drop that far i might say 1300 maby btw he says he thinks the oil leak is coming from where the distrebuter goes in the motor. he said something about an o-ring. dues any one know what he means |

but what i ment was maby there is a comin leak in that spot and maby someone might know. thinks |
it seems like it may be a good deal? 5-sd or auto tranny???
oil leak is minimal, just replace the oring w/ a toyota dealer oring, not a aftermarket oring. It could be laking through the shaft also, but hard to say without piks.. have it checked for a head gasket leak also.. its a common problem unfortinately.. |

I WILL NOT EVER OWN AN AUTO!!!!!!!!!!!! lol pleas forgive my loudness well think you very much Joel i think ill get the car (pat my self on back). |
yep, get a block test done to check for bad hg & do a compression check... at least you'll know if the motor is reasonably good
the o-ring is what seals the cps/dizzy in the head.. it will be old and plastic now so won't be doing a hell of a lot and will leak oil onto the exhaust manifold.. get an oem replacement and you'll be sweet good luck with the car and post some pics :) |

sorry ive never heard of a block test. what all do they check for on the test? |
oh heh sorry... just habit to type the abbreviation ;)
hg = head gasket block test is like a rocket shaped tube with a rubber bung on the end, you fill it with blue fluid that is supplied with the kit and then put it in the top of the radiator where the cap would normally be you then hold it in there till your thermostat opens and the water circulates... if the blue turns yellow or green you have exhaust gasses in your water |
ok now i know what your talking about
the guy already has one and has tested it about 12 times sence hes owned it and it said it was fine. :) |
