Default Intercooler

I have a BHG and was wondering if my intercooler might cause this. If so, how do i know what is wrong with the intercooler?

I thought that if the turbo was pumping hot (hotter than normal because of a bad inteercooler) air back into the engine it would cause the engine to overheat thus resulting in my BHG. I have just taken off my head and into a shop for work so if yall think that i shoud do something else to it before i put it all back together say something or forever hold yer peace.

If your car has over 80k miles, and you have never replaced the hg, then it just blows all on its own. I have the same problem. Go ahead and get forged pistons if you can. Look over the cylinder walls and look for damage, check out your pistons. Stuff like that. Good luck with your build.

(use the following if you are using a new stock head gasket)
make sure you clean that block up and get all old gasket stuff off
get new intake & exhaust gaskets
new cps o-ring
water pump
make sure none of your frostplugs are blown
take your radiator to a shop and get it cleaned out
new spark plugs
oil
oil filter
new head bolts
new cam seals

i think that's a pretty good list

anyone else got anything to add?
