What year? My 91t idles at 6-7psi. 30-40 lbs at 40mph. Remember our pumps are low pressure high volume. Also the stock gauge is slow to reacted in my experiance.

1987 turbo. Mine reads more than half below the center line(close to the bottom line) and reads just above the center line at 40+mph. I put a quart of oil around every 3 days cuz I burn and leak oil. Sux huh?! But I just wonder if I should bring it up to 40 for when I am going 40+? I am really concerned because I read that the block is great and really strong, but can NOT tollerate low oil pressure. So this has me greatly concerned.

6psi at idle is fine. Low oil pressure will kill the 7m, but it seems to me like yours is fine. The low oil will kill the 7m very quickly. Always keep it full, some run an extra quart for insurance.

Re: Oil Pressure
My 89 N/A hits 40 psi at running speed. I think that's normal. Someone said something about slow gauges. It seems all my gauges are slow. When I gas up, it takes about 15 minutes or more to register. Is this a normal Supra thing?

My fuel gauge is slow to come up, too. When its on 'E' there's 3 gallons left. When the warning light comes on, there's 2 gallons left.
My oil pressure gauge works pretty quick. The others are quick, and accurate. They all seem normal, by any standard.
