A340-E deep or alloy transimion pan
I was just wondering if a deep or alloy transimion pan was ever made for the A340-E? It is the same as a AW4 used in Jeeps Cherokee's and have made a deep pan by joining two together but wondered if there were one you could buy one already made or in alloy?
Thankyou |

Being made from alloy increases the strength of the case and transfers the heat away much better than steel will. Tests on a rear diff cover for example showed a 20*C difference between a steel and a alloy one. Making the pan deeper as I have done increases the fluid volume which also allows it to run cooler. I had trouble that before the I made the deeper pan that the shifts would begin to slow on hot days when under load like towing. If anyone wants to see how I made the deep pan, just let me know as have a full write up on my web site about it.
