Head problems
Sorry i just joined the forum because i had a quick question. I took my head to a machine shop to be surfaced but he told me that it was too small to do it, in fact it is too small to use again, but he said something about an head saver or something before he ran off. I was to busy being depressed to pay attention to exactly what he said so I was wondering if there was anything that i could buy to make it so i could still use the head. I dont have the money for a new head so i am just hoping.

i am assuming he meant the head was warped?
just get another 2nd hand head from the for sale section... i'm sure someone there will have one the money you would more than likely spend trying to get your one fixed you could have another 2nd hand one in good condition

He might have meant (very possible) that it could not be milled again, or it would be too much off. If the head is otherwise in good condition, it may be possible to mill it just enough to clean it up for installation with the thickest head gasket on the aftermarket.
Perhaps you should find the local race shop and ask who they send their heads out to. Get another opinion before deciding your options.

i took my head to a machinist to be looked at and he said it was so warped that if he were to mill it that when the pistons came up they would hit the valves.
