hi , new here.. :)

hi all,

im new here and im sure you have all heard this question a thousand times before but...

im interested in buying a supra, but have no idea what model is best, what is a good price, and what i should look for when buying one ie: what should i inspect when viewing one? common problems?

what are they like to own? do they require any special things like fuel type?
is insurance high? and what are the running costs like... cheers guys,

sorry for so many questions but i really need to know what is what so i can get a good car :) i always loved supras and i have a chance to get one :) any help you can give will be great ... :)

I would say getting one between86.5 and 91. They are the cheepest and easiest to modify depending on your budget. These run between 2k and 500...obviously, you get what you pay for. Common problems are blown head gaskets, which are expensive to fix, so look for one that has had that already replaced. As far as fuel goes, turbo charged Supras need to run on Suprem or the top gas. When looking for one, make sure there is very little body damage and hopfully you can find one that is a cherry with little mechanical work needing to be done. Def. look for a manual.

Once you get it, you can expect little problems, but nothing major. I personally like the little ones because you can learn alot from these. All together they are alot of fun to own and they really turn heads. The running costs vary from car to car, just really look for that cherry, it's out there somewhere waiting for you. Good luck.

no, those, I believe, are the newer models. Much more expensive in all aspects. I would go with the older models, easier to upgrade and cheaper to maintane. Good luck.
