hello all...
im new to the boards im on my 4th supra now 3 n/a and the current one is turbo. was looking for some advice; the motor out of nowhere just started to rumble hard like its missing on a cylinder, i changed the plugs not long ago (maybe 2 months ago) i checked spark and its fine. it does have some oil/fuel buildup around the plugs now. it over heats somewhat on long distances so im figuring may be headgasket. now that it started to rumble my guess is that the head might have warped? any help would be much appreciated...thnx -Pete

Check for BHG. maybe a cylinder or 2 aren't firing.

well i started pulling all the plugs out the other day, a few have a fuel smell. i tried the spark test and from coil pack to ign wires spark is good, could it possibly be that the wires are no good also? also for the overheating problem someone told me that a similar problem happend to him like his car used to overheat on long runs which was because his radiator was clogged somehow. so im not making anymore assumptions because i dont want to end up changing things i dont need to change lol.

Hi spoolin1
I am also from NY State, but I see you are in the Long Island area though, and not all that close to me. Quote:
Do you two know each other? I am not even sure what half of it means since it is written in ... not English. |

yea thats my little brother, knowing my car is automatic right now and both the motor and tranny are kinda messed up he wants to race. you might have gotten infront of me but i still got to the house faster then you E-Tard! and besides the fact that the supra he was driving was my old supra that i gave him. which was perfectly fine when he got it but he decided to break it... like everyother car he gets he thinks is a race car.

^I see.
I thought maybe he was your harrasser. heheh I see that is not the case then...or maybe he IS your brother STILL your harasseser? heh Are you guys in the same area? I live just 10 minutes from the capital of NY State, which would be Albany. You guys are probably like 2.5 hours from me...if you are both the Long Island spot that I think you live in. BTW, I sent you dudes PM's on the 5 speed conversion parts so that spoolin1 won't be at such a disadvantage in racing |

Just put a new head on the car and noticed the piston and cylinder #3 was completely eaten up. Cylinder still held compression so i just grinded it down so i just swapped the head and tomorrow i get to see if i've created a monster
