VIN Number Breakdown
Hey all,
I'm new to the forum, I recently acquired an '89 Supra Turbo, that's highly modified, and wanted to know if the Toyota VIN's break down the same way as the Mazda VIN's do? Yes they are similar, as all vehicles are. It was a desision made by the manufacturers about 20 years ago. I searched google a few months ago and found a site that layed out the Supra.
Can't remember it now.

VIN Code Breakdown
Cool, good info. The VIN breaks down like this:
Digit 1 - Country Digit 2 - Make Digit 3 - Vehicle Type Digit 4 - Others Digit 5 - Line Digit 6 - Series Digit 7 - Body Digit 8 - Engine Digit 9 - Check Digit Digit 10 - Model Year Digit 11 - Plant Digits 12-17 - Serial Number |

has a targa and its turbo lol ill give out more info about the rear end soon btw theres another number inside the engine compartment it tells you more info.
