Default whats a breather kits

whats the point of these breather kits? whats their purpose?

Thumbs down Unnecessary mod for "looks"

Some people remove the PCV system and put these (or similar) on to allow the engine block to 'breathe'. There is ALWAYS some blowby from the piston rings, so the block has always got some pressure in it.

I don't change from the factory setup because when its clean and hooked up properly, it works fine and doesn't cause me any concerns.

If an engine has a bunch of miles on it, the blowby increases, and those breather filters will allow oil to come out all over everything. = mess
